OK, you may have heard this before, but we not only mean it, all tourist guides signing up with the FDT portal have the qualifications and experience to prove it. Don't take our word for it – book one of the many tours carefully planned by them - planned to show you the REAL place you wish to visit - and make your holiday really memorable. In short, a quality service available to everyone. 

All excursions are guided by qualified tourist guides who've proved not only their knowledge but also their ability to tell you what you want to know at the level YOU want to know it. That's our promise - you get the highest standards and friendliest presentation, with all the highlights you could wish for, they will help you to understand the culture of the region visited and the way of life of its inhabitants.

Our qualified tourist guides are professionals with many years of experience in guiding, who shared the ideology of supplying good services/tours at reasonable prices. We always aim to provide a: 

“FAIR DEAL TOUR”

That is, an excursion guided by a qualified tourist guide, with a product which is clearly and transparently described. The prices of our products are reasonable for the purchaser, while allowing guides, bus providers, restaurants and others to make a living. In short, the arrangement is fair to everyone. There is no exploitation by a third party.

The Tourist guide is also bound by a professional code of conduct and a quality charter they have to agree first to sign up in FDT portal.

What you see is what you get! You won’t be told the tour is free and then find the tip is compulsory or be taken on a blanket trip. The itinerary will be followed as described.

It's REALLY EASY:

On the home page, you will find a box: “Find a Qualified Tourist Guide”

1) Choose your destination

Select the country you wish to visit; 

Select the region or city in that country; 

To facilitate the search you should select the language in which you wish to receive the guiding services.

As you add a box, a filtered tourist guide list is shown for options chosen. These options are accumulative. E.g.:  if you choose Paris, Spanish, English, the tourist guides shown are those ones from the Paris área and talking Spanish & English.

2) Contact a Tourist Guide in the selected area

In the list of tourist guides displayed go to the button: “VIEW PROFILE”, you will find it on the lower right hand corner of each Tourist Guide profile, open it and learn more about this tourist guide.

Get to know what he/she offers and now…,

3) Book directly with the Tourist Guide  

Send him/her an email by going to the button: “CONTACT”on the lower right hand corner of each Tourist Guide profile with any questions, and to check his/her availability, 

We highly recommend you to use the intranet email system from FDT (web messaging) the “CONTACT” button of the Tourist Guide you wish to contact, by doing this you can record your messages and track them easily. And now…

  4. You will be able to contact with all tourist guides registered in our portal directly. (In order to send an email/message and book a tourist guide you have to register and/or sign into your personal account)
  5. By registering on our website we can guarantee that your requests for tourist guides services come from real people, and are not spam. Moreover, you will have access to all tourist guides listed on FDT portal and their answer will come via the same onside messaging system.

On the upper right hand corner of each page you will find a box that says: “Register”. Click on this button, select tourist & fill in fields demanded w/your personal data. 

Don’t forget to accept the Terms and Conditions of FDT and click on the button REGISTER.

 

Congratulations, now you are a registered customer!!!

In the upper right of each page, you’ll find a button saying “Log In”.

Click on this button & fill in demanded fields with your email address and password.

If you have forgotten your password, go to the top right hand corner of the website. There you will find a link: "Access" Click on it.

A window will open asking you to enter “Ask for new password” and it will ask you to enter the email address provided when creating your account as a customer with FDT. Please enter this. You will receive an email from FDT with your password as recorded at the time you created your account in the system. If you fail to find our email in your incoming mail account, please look in your spam folder.

You can also change your email by entering your current email address and password. On your personal detail page you will find a field: "E-mail", enter your new email address, for confirmation purposes you will be requested to enter your new email twice into this field and then click "Save" when you have finished editing your email address.

FDT do NOT charge you any fee at all, it is completely free for you to use the FDT web portal as a customer. 

Via this website, FDT and its affiliates (Tourist Guides) supply you with an on-line platform via which excursions and activities are offered to users of the webpage, which allow you as a customer to reserve products and services offered by qualified tourist guides all over Europe. In other words FDT is a complete online booking platform.

Once you have found the tourist guide that best suits what you want, you must send him/her an email (at the lower part of the profile of the selected tourist guide, on the right hand corner, you will find a tab that says: CONTACT). Ask him/her anything you want to know and his/her availability for the day you wish to go on tour before booking his/her guiding services, and you will get your response by electronic mail via FDT website. 

The reservations made by the User via this website are subject to the specific terms and conditions which each supplier (Tourist Guides) establishes in each case.

Yes. When you first contact the desired tourist guide via the FDT onside messaging system, you can also request to get his/her personal email and other contact details.

Due to our privacy policy, the tourist guide contacted is the only person who can provide his/her personal details to you.

To unsubscribe you must access Fair Deal Tours Europe with your email and password with checking the "Sign in as Tourist Guide".

When you have connected to your data, you click on the "Privacy Policy" at the bottom of any page of Fair Deal Tours and look for the link "unsubscribe from Fair Deal Tours"; clicking on this will generate an email.

When you receive the email to unsubscribe, you will see a link that when clicked will unsubscribe you automatically.

If you do not see the email, check the spam folder of your mail server.

On each page, in the upper right hand corner, you will find a button "JOIN US”. Click this button and go to tourist guide & fill in the requested fields with your personal data.

All qualified tourist guides, who are members of a tourist guide association or federation which is a member of FEG, can sign up to the FDT Website Portal. They must be qualified to guide visitors in their country/region or city in the language of the visitors' choice and interpret the cultural and natural heritage of an area. Accredited tourist guides who come from a regulated country must possess an area-specific qualification, issued and/or recognized by the appropriate authority.

Having fulfilled the requirement in the previous question and prior to registering as a tourist guide, you must read and accept the "Code of Ethics” as well as the "Quality Charter” which apply to all tourist guides members of FEG before clicking on the “ACCEPT” button.

Our portal pays special attention to the fact that all tourist guides are properly qualified. This will ensure that you will receive a quality service which will make your visit / tour an unforgettable experience.

Our Portal connects guiding services provided by qualified tourist guides registered in it as per FEG's decision agreed at the FEG EGM in Brussels 2010 and as agreed at the "FEG AGM Madeira 2011". 

The FDT portal offers an innovative booking service for the customer to get in touch with qualified tourist guides all over Europe.

Qualified Tourist Guide members of any association/federation member of FEG can upload, publish and gain visibility via the FDT Portal by using this powerful tool, created to display the tourist guide profile, including their tours, accreditations, photos, availability and all those details which the tourist guide wishes to include in their template. 

The FDT portal offers qualified tourist guides and customers an advanced booking tool which includes real customer reviews, booking notification via the FDT portal and much more. 

Fair Deal Tours is a quality label aiming to provide to consumers and partners a product that is clearly and transparently described and to promote an ethical approach for tourist guiding.

For the first year we have a special promotion, only 35 euros for a year.

The portal will provide all Tourist Guides with the possibility of developing/creating a template with several options of promotion of the services of a tourist guide, and will give great visibility to the profile of the tourist guide on the internet. The annual cost of the subscription to be paid to FDT by each tourist guide is decided by FDT and it appears when the tourist guide signs in and clicks on the button "Click here to make your payment" Any future changes in the amount payable by members for their annual subscription will be communicated to members of the website in due time.

FDT uses high ethical standards and respects your privacy, protecting your personal data. Except for the disclosure required by law in each jurisdiction, and your name, email address and details of your credit card information which are required to complete the booking, we will not disclose your personal information to third parties without your consent.

We do not sell, trade, or otherwise transfer to outside parties your personally identifiable information. This does not include trusted third parties who assist us in operating our website, conducting our business, or servicing you, so long as those parties agree to keep this information confidential. We may also release your information when we believe release is appropriate to comply with the law, enforce our site policies, or protect ours or others rights, property, or safety. However, non-personally identifiable visitor information may be provided to other parties for marketing, advertising, or other uses.

Now you should create your profile. Go to the homepage on the upper right and click “Log in”. Enter your email and password. If all’s ok your email will appear on the main menu. As you click on it you will be redirected to your profile, once there you will have to fill in your data on "Edit PROFILE”.

We recommend you create your profile as a tourist guide as soon as possible. Don’ forget to include your photo, your accreditation as a qualified tourist guide and all the information requested in the template provided on our portal page, for example: languages used to guide visitors, the tours you provide, special interests, useful tips about your country / region / city, etc.

You should add any information you consider will help you to promote your guiding services in FDT. Upload the description of your tours and what they offer and if you wish to do so, you can also mention your rates or alternately you can be requested by the customer to contact you.

Yes, you only have to prove that you have the proper qualifications/accreditations for the areas concerned. A scan of your accreditations (ID / Labels) will be supply enough proof.

In the event that a Tourist Guide has more than one accreditation to act as such in different areas, it is highly recommended that they be numbered in order according to geography and place of residence of the tourist guide.

You can enter your secondary areas of qualification/accreditation after login to your profile page under "MODIFY MY PROFILE"

For the moment, only qualified tourist guides offering their own services or products designed by them can register on the FDT portal.

In future, only those companies which can show that they use the services of suitably qualified tourist guides for their tours and that these tourist guides are members of an association/federation represented in FEG, may register on our website. That said, this possibility is not enabled at the moment.

For the reasons stated above, please make sure that your registration to the FDT portal is done as a private person who is a qualified tourist guide member of an association/federation represented in FEG. (Any customers booking a tourist guide service via FDT portal has to be sure who will be the Tourist Guide offering the tour and guiding them).

Go to the homepage in the upper right & click “login”. Enter your email address and password. If all’s ok, your email will appear on the main menu. As you click it, you will be redirected to your profile & fill in your data in “edit profile”

Once you log into your template as a tourist guide you can edit your profile and add or remove tours and anything else you wish to change, include or delete from your template.

You can also review the list of email messages sent to your customers or received from them.

We recommend you create your profile as a tourist guide as soon as possible. Don’t forget to include your photo, your accreditation as a qualified tourist guide and all the information requested in the template provided on our FDT portal, for example: languages used to guide visitors, the tours you provide, special interests, useful tips about your country / region / city, etc.

You should add any information you consider will help you to promote your guiding services on the web. Upload the description of your tours and what they offer and if you wish to do so, you can also mention your rates or alternately you can request the customer to contact you in order to supply details.

If you have forgotten your password, go to the top right hand corner of the website. There you will find a link: "Login?" Click on it.

A window will open “asking you to enter a new password” and enter the email address provided when creating your account as a tourist guide with FDT. Please enter this. You will receive an email from FDT with the steps to be followed to reset your login password to FDT. If you fail to find our email in your incoming mail account, please look in your spam folder.

You can always reset/change your password by entering your profile, “Edit PROFILE”. For safety reasons you’ll have to enter your new password twice.

Customer reviews cannot be removed, unless they are of an offensive nature or unless they can be proved to contain factually inaccurate information or have been posted maliciously and do not conform to our terms and conditions. 

Furthermore, customer feedback encourages tourist guides to provide a better service. That is why the services provided by all qualified tourist guided displayed on our Website Portal can be evaluated by their customers at all times.

To unsubscribe you must first access Fair Deal Tours, click “login” using your email and password.
